TITLETOWN?

wwfbelt

As this 2009 Packer season reaches midseason, Packer fans and critics alike attempt to dissect every move this beloved organization makes, from the coaching and management, to gameday execution, to even a peculiar performance Packer Nation’s #12 puts on from time to time.  The mainstream media has failed to investigate, YouTube’s got nothing, and even Google can’t answer this one.  So, here it is JudasFavre audience:  What is Aaron Rodgers suggesting when he straps on the WWF style Title Belt after he executes a big play?

titlebelt  OK, every prime time player in their sport has a little celebratory ritual, but there is always a message attached.  T.O. with the popcorn, Ocho Cinco with a cell phone, the “dirty bird”,  and on and on…  A-Rodg and Packer Nation, what is this recurring Title Belt adornment all about?

We can’t decide if we love it or hate.  In one way, we love it.  We mean the firing the crowd up, the creativity, the fun, the leadership it somewhat shows (this is MY team), we love.  In another way, what the heck are you doing as a starter you have won, um, um, nothing, you are actually horrible with wins and losses (which is what matters.)  But, like many things in life if we understand we can then sometimes appreciate.  Any Clues?

Even though this part-time correspondent is over the Favre/Packer “divorce”, please child, buy a shirt at JudasFavre.com and get yourself or loved ones a JUDAS shirt.  Predictions are out there that these shirts will be relevant next year too!

I have been wondering what the hell this means for a long time, and I too cant find anything about it. Either way, I HATE IT. Title belt? what title belt? Dont you do stuff like this when you win and are good?? I mean, 10-14 come on man. come on man…..I understand every player has celebrations they do but Rodgers goes above and beyond…the first down motions, the firing the guns and putting them away and now the title belt. I dont get it. again, you are 10-14. Imagine if fricken Brady Quinn goes out this week and starts putting on a title belt after a TD pass, or doing the first down motions, it’s kinda like wtf are you doing dude, right?? I already know you are going to mention Brett Favre, but Favre celebrated with teammates, he didnt strap on some belt or fire off guns or some stupid shit he was just having a good time. What does Brady do, how about Manning, how about Big Ben, How about Brees???/ Thats what I thought, nothing. I need an explanation on this one NOW, this might determine if I will ever like Rodgers or not.

    Someone please explain…..

Maybe he is shooting his gun at Favre, then his motion is stealing the belt from the injured gunslinger. He then puts the stolen belt on…….signifying that this is his team now.

    HA

Who the heck knows. Its dumb. Im a Rodgers supporter, but I do need to know whats going on here.

The last time I saw this belt thing it was from The People’s Champ, Freddie Mitchell, after he caught the 4th and 26 pass. No more belt Mr. Rodgers, no more……

In my mind’s eye, I may have figured this one out! I was seriously just allowing the mind to wander and an image of Julie Henderson came to mind. Maybe this has nothing to do with a title belt and is really a gesture to Julie on whatever tropical island she is posing for a photo shoot. Probably not, I think it’s a title belt, I have no idea what for???

well….I guess everyone has checked out. Disappointing, maybe no one really does bleed green and gold in this state. Packers lose and you all bail, pathetic. I’ll stick with the Viks, you bunch of losers….I’m done checking this site 5 times a day. I thought I had real fans to argue with. All you can do is come on here and biatch about Favre but when it comes down to evaluating your own team you are nowhere to be found. YOu were all so good about talking shit about Favre and how he would be hurt already and the Vikings were going to suck with Favre and now that he is making you eat your words you are going to crawl up in a ball and cry into your Rodgers jersey. Well, either way, I cant wait to hear you cheering against Favre in the playoffs as the Packers are sitting on their damn couch once again.

Something else for you idiots to think about…..Brett Favre with the Packers only missed the playoffs 5 times in 16 years. Also, he only had one losing season in 16 years. Rodgers, in 2 years, is on pace to have 2 seasons under .500 and miss the playoffs for the 2nd time in 2 seasons.

Yeah, I don’t care much for it either, act as if you’ve been there befor-TD.
I did love how he kicked that LB’s ass to the ground on the score.
I think they need to grow up, the head butting, bumping guys after the play, these dumb actions show lack of smart play and coaching. Not suggesting taking the fun out of it, just need to be smart about it. This group needs leadership!

DJ, your best post yet. nice work

  • DJ

Well, here we go, the next two games in my book, will tell all.
If we lose both, Im in for a change, BUT- it will not come until after the season! WE will see if MM lost his TEAM! As far as TT, McKenzie might be ready!!

  • DJ

To all you MM and TT haters, who should replace them? and willing they come to GB?

  • DJ

After watchng the Colts-Patriots game, I see belicheck as the king, he even went over to talk w/ his O-line, and D- line to talk, I never see MM talk to any of his team groups ever! OUR O-LINE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • change

DJ, we r done talking on here, bring these conversations over to ventingprocess.com

  • Nick

I think the Packers should definetley fire Mccarthy, I dont think finding a replacement should be too difficult w/ all the good coaches not coaching right now, Packers are one of the most storied franchises in history and i think any coach would love to have the opportunity to come be a part of that

  • DJ

Nick, I dare you to try and find one!
Give us your insight on who it would be? In the smallest NFL town, and w/ the tundra thing, yeah, last I checked, they want out-see Holmgren.
