That’s the feeling we got when we saw Judas in the Vikings jersey.  And we guess we never realized just how much they talk about him.   They talk about him on the sidelines, when he hands off, when he throws a screen.  It’s almost creepy.  When he was one of us… it was freakin’ awesome.  Now it is like doing a shot of bad skotch.  Pine needles exploding in my mouth. 

It also was kind of like being in a relationship that went wrong.  You walk into the bar/club with no care in the world and you see your ex on the dance floor with their tongue down somebody’s throat.  You know that gut wrenching hurt in your stomach, and you don’t know what to do, feeling?  Yep, had it last night.  But yet you keep staring and hoping it will go away but it won’t.  ever.  

 Brett Favre and Childress then would be grinding on the dance floor in my analogy?  Sure, if that makes you smile.

Anyways, the dilrod played good, Vikings look good/great.  Makes me sick.   The season is very long and hasn’t even started yet, so maybe the meltdown is coming.  Kind of like eating some pizza, the taste of that bad shot goes away.

There are no winners in the Favre saga for Packer fans it seems.  The sides are divided between those who felt Favre was kicked out of town and those who feel he is a traitor for leaving.   With the help of www.JudasFavre.com and their wildly popular t-shirts the two founders have found a winner.  “Starting today with every shirt order we are going to donate 10% of the proceeds of the shirt to fight childhood cancer.  Now we can help a great cause as well.” states Jason. 

The funds will go to find a cure for Pediatric Low Grade Astrocytoma or “PLGA,” a type of childhood cancer.  Currently, there is no cure for this tumor and the treatments that do exist are outdated, toxic, and ultimately torturous to the thousands of kids affected.  Brain tumors are the #1 cause of cancer death in children, and the #2 overall cause of childhood death behind accidents. PLGA’s are the most common type of childhood brain tumor, yet sadly, funding and research for better treatments and an eventual cure lag dramatically behind other cancers. Let’s figure this out with some specific dates and facts:

1.  The circus, aka the Vikings training camp , opens July 31st. 

2.  Brett has said he only wants one media frenzy.  Not two.  This means he does not want to sign today which creates a circus and then the first week of camp another circus.  (And if that isn’t a weird comment considering the drama he creates for himself, I don’t know what is.)

3.  He thinks he owns the offense.   He ran this offense for 16 years.  Brett feels he does not have to start fast.  Remember, with the Jets he was flying high mid pre-season with only a few weeks under his belt… and this is HIS offense at Minny. 

4.  He hates camp/practice.  So does Allen Iverson.   So why come in even on the first day… July 31st?

5.  All signs point towards his contract is done.  It’s all “wink wink” to the media and fans, but if you read between the little smirky smiles–  we say he is signed.  And “everybody” knows it.  So he is already in the fold.

We say he starts second week of camp, and plenty of time to let the drama build.   Plenty of time to learn how to hand off to A-Pete.  And throw an interception in the fourth quarter.  So if you want an exact date, we say August 12th.  

Hey… we here think Brett is just goofy.  For a long time we thought the goofy was “cute.”  You know the kid from Mississippi that loves the cold.    Like a new puppy.   Now he is just goofy.  Like a new puppy that bites off his owners leg.
