THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST DISGUSTING SALES PROMO TO SUPPORT CHILDREN’S ILLNESS’S THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD OF. WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP IN THE USA!! YOU PACKER FANS ARE OUT OF CONTROL! GET OVER IT, IT’S A FREE COUNTRY AND THOMPSON, MCCARTHY AND THE WHOLE PACKER REGIME DID’NT WANT BRETT BACK TO PLAY ANYMORE. THAT’S IT, PLAIN AND SIMPLE. HE CERTAINLY DOES HAVE THE RIGHT TO PLAY FOR ANY TEAM JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE DOES (AND SHOULD). DON’T YOU PEOPLE LIVE IN AMERICA? HOW SOON YOU FORGET WHAT HE DID FOR THE CITY OF GREEN BAY WITH THE CHARITABLE WORK HE AND DEANNA HAVE ACCOMPLISHED, AND ALL THE REVENUE ACQUIRED IN 16 YEARS ALONG WITH ALL THE NOTARITY. AFTER 42 YEARS OF BEING A PACKER FAN, I’M HAPPY TO SAY I’M NO LONGER SUPPORTING THIS ORGANIZATION. THERE JUST ISN’T ANY RESPECT AND WHAT A POOR EXAMPLE YOU’RE SETTING FOR THE YOUTH OF THIS COUNTRY TO COMPARE BRETT FAVE TO JUDAS. SHAME ON YOU!

    CAPS LOCK MEANS YELLING. AAAAHHHHHH.

    Are you serious?

You speak of America and freedom and come here and blast these guys for selling joke T-Shirts. I believe it is their right to sell shirts and print whatever they want on these shirts. In addition, they are giving to a great charity.

At no time have they ever diminished what Favre or his wife did for the state of WI. In fact, many of the blogs state that they appreciate all he did, but are just sick of his recent antics and especially that he decided to retire, unretire, retire, say he is retired, wait around, cry, and finally play for a rival.

Sportsmanship? I believe Mr. Favre is the example of sportsmanship that you would want to steer children away from. In the past he was a great Sportsman, but the last 3-4 years have been anything but a shining example of a good sport.

It is his choice to play where he wants and he has that right. It is our right to call him out and speak our mind. Most importantly, it is their choice and right to print up T-shirts stating how they feel. Its America, like you said. It appears that you have forgotten that as you are trying to silence their voice. Shame on you!

So take your loyalty to Brett Favre with you to the Vikings…they need all the fans they can get. Forty-Two years of being a fan, flushed down the drain because of a Diva who RETIRED, a fan base who grew tired of his holding the team hostage, and a joke website? What a shame.

    REPLY TO N.T.C.:
I’VE BEEN AN OFFICE MANAGER/SECRETARY FOR 30 YEARS, AND USING CAPS IS NOT YELLING, IT’S CALLED “MAKING A STATEMENT”.
I’M NOT TRYING TO SILENCE ANYONES’ VOICE IN THIS COUNTRY, I BELIEVE IN FREEDOM OF SPEECH AS OUR FIRST AMENDMENT STATES, BUT WHEN DISRESPECT OF PEOPLE COMES INTO PLAY (PARDON THE PUN), THAT’S WHEN IT BECOMES PART OF THE DECAY THAT HAS AND IS SADDLY HAPPENING IN AMERICA. AS FOR BEING ABLE TO “PRINT WHATEVER THEY WANT ON A T-SHIRT”, HERE AGAIN, WHEN IS THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOR GOING TO STOP BEFORE IT RUINS THE MORALS OF ALL PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY OUR YOUTH. YOU ARE PROBABLY TOO YOUNG TO REALIZE THAT EVEN FOR “FOOTBALL” (GOD FORBID) THAT’S IT’S OK TO BE A BAD SPORT TO SAY AND DO WHAT YOU WANT, IF WE ALL FELT THAT WAY, NOTHING WOULD BE LEFT WORTHWHILE AND ROCK SOLID IN LIFE. AND YES, I WILL FOLLOW BRETT FARVE’S CAREER BECAUSE HE IS SETTING A GOOD EXAMPLE, DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE DOES NOT SHOW DISRESPECT TO OTHERS. SO, IN CONCLUSION, AM I SERIOUS? YOU BET, AND I AM NOT ASHAMED OR AFRAID TO STAND UP FOR WHAT I THINK, AND I’LL EVEN GO A STEP FUTHER AND SAY THAT THIS SITE IS SACRILEGIOUS! NOW, ISN’T THAT A SHAME.

The problem here is that you and I have a fundamental difference in what “being a good sport” means.

You say Favre is a good sport, I say otherwise. Dodging training camp, isolating yourself from team mates, having your own locker, calling out other players for the exact same thing you do….continue…..going on national TV and lying in an attempt to cover your mistakes, plotting revenge against a franchise who made you, putting youself before the team and its future so you can take your sweet time deciding if you are retiring…..breath….retiring, then making a complete mockery out of training camp.

I dare say all the above things that Favre has done is what I would steer any child away from. Sports is about team…thats it, somewhere Favre forgot it. Ill take making stupid T-Shirts anytime, at least they show creativity and business sense. Ive seen a lot worse!!

I never said you shouldn’t follow Favre’s carrer. I said it was a shame that you have abandoned the Packers because of your loyalty to one player.

  • N.T.C.

I meant Career. Typing fast = mistakes. Apologies.

  • N.T.C.

Before the trolls hit. I also meant Locker Room. Ill edit next time.

  • BARBARA

    N.T.C.:
I REALLY THINK THE FUNDAMENTAL PROBLEM BETWEEN US ON THIS SUBJECT IS THAT YOU ARE A GUY (SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE ANYWAY), AND I, A LADY. WE ARE OBVIOUSLY TALKING A DIFFERENT “LANGUAGE” HERE IN TERMS OF SPORTSMANSHIP. I AM GOING ALOT DEEPER THAN YOU ON THE SUBJECT, AND ALL YOU CAN COME UP WITH IS CRITIZING FARVE FOR ALOT OF THINGS THAT ARE TYPICAL IN THE SPORTS WORLD, AND MANY THAT SIMPLY ARE NOT TRUE. SOUNDS TO ME LIKE PACKER FANS ARE STILL “CRYING” LIKE A BUNCH OF BABIES ON THIS WHOLE SCENARIO, AND AS I’VE SAID BEFORE, CAN’T LET IT GO! I HAVE NOT ABANDONED THE PACKER TEAM PLAYERS, I SAID I DON’T RESPECT THEIR ORGANIZATION. BUT I CAN PERSONALLY WISH THE PACKERS GOOD LUCK THIS SEASON, CAN YOU DO THE SAME FOR THE VIKINGS? THAT’S PART OF BEING A “GOOD SPORT”. I AM TALKING ABOUT MORAL VALUES HERE, AND YOU ARE TALKING LOCKER ROOM CRAP. I STAND FIRM AND WILL NOT DIGNIFY THE PRINTING OF THESE T-SHIRTS, OR ANYTHING ELSE UNSPORTSMANLIKE THAT PACKER FANS ARE DOING AGAINST FARVE. THERE ARE ALOT, AND I MEAN ALOT OF EX-PACKER FANS THAT FEEL AS STRONGLY AS I DO ABOUT THIS. WE ARE NOT A MINORITY, AND THERE ARE PLENTY OF FANS ROOTING FOR MINNESOTA THIS YEAR. BY THE WAY, GOOD LUCK NEXT MONDAY AT MINNESOTA, AND HOW ABOUT THAT WINNING PASS FARVE THREW YESTERDAY, AND LEWIS’S SPECTACULAR CATCH?! HE CAN STILL DO THAT MAGICAL THING NOW CAN’T HE, AND HE IS STILL HAVING FUN. NOW, THAT’S A GOOD SPORT!

This argument is worse than politics or religion. Neither side can even come close to understading the other. The root of our difference is how we see the breakup. You think the Packers treated Favre wrong and I see it as Favre finally getting what he asked for and deserved when he retired (the definition is very close to quitting)….to be shown the door.

No I cannot wish the Vikings Luck. I dont wish harm on them, but I do not want them to win. Favre is a Viking, therefore, I do not wish him luck.

We could go on forever on how each side thinks the other is misguided and the outcome of the two games (between the Packers and Vikings) will have no effect on our stances.

Hate the shirts, that is fine. But dont hate the Packers orginization as they do not endorse these shirts nor do they comment on their feelings on Mr. Favre. It was a business decision and Favre was the catalyst…..heck he wanted out as soon at his buddy Sherman was shown the door.

Finally, I would say that the Favre and anti-Favre camp is an even split. I have run into both sides on an equal basis and each person is steadfast in their feelings.

  • Skol Vikings

NTC, you are right about one thing. It comes down to the difference as to how the 2 Packer Fans camps believe the “break-up” came to be. Granted, Brett waffled a lot, he even made a commercial now poking fun at the fact, and THAT’s where the difference lies with “never been Packer fans” like me and the packer fans that are grown-ups verses the dillusional and whiney ones like you. We realize, that it’s part of the business, and that the Packers org decided it was time to cut bait,… that’s fine. It can be looked at both ways, and laughed about. But you expect to have your cake and eat it too. You want to say it was smart of the Pack to let him go, then turn around and call him a Judas even though at the last he wanted to come back to you, only to have the door shut in his face…lol. That’s the part that makes no sense, and makes you and others like you appear a bit off in the noodle.

If Brett had been signed by the Lions, this would not even be an issue. Your just scared that the Vikes with a decent QB are scary, and that’s precisely why he went here. It was a team with every piece in place except a QB that could handle audibles with confidence, and the 2 minute drill with efficiency.

    cu Monday night. :P

  • Nick

One of you is a Vikings fan, and the other is a Packer fan. This is where any of yours guys “opinions” or “facts” stated on here can not be seen the same way. Its called competition and no one will break for the other. Yes, the Packer fans can’t get over Favre and their bitter but thats why this site is here. And you have to look at it from their side, i mean what if it was the other way around? I love this site and i’m a Viking fan. I’ve got into a bunch of arguements on here but its all in fun cause no ones getting hurt and its the competitive attitude of all dudes who love their team and its always going to be that way.

  • N.T.C.

    Nick,

A voice of reason. Thank you.

Should be a fun game. The one in Lambeau should be quite a circus.

  • Nick

Agreed! I wish the game at Lambeau was on MNF! I think if it was that it would crush viewing records big time.

  • BARBARA

    SKOL VIKINGS:
THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY TO NTC. THAT SAYS IT ALL, AND EXACTLY LIKE IT IS!! I WILL BE ROOTING BIG TIME FOR THE VIKINGS TO BEAT THE PACKERS. AT LEAST WE CALL HOLD OUR HEADS HIGH, WHETHER WE WIN OR LOSE, BECAUSE WE HAVE SOME CLASS.

  • N.T.C.

Class because you feel your opinion is right? Thats not class. Because I (and thousands of fans) feel one way and it is opposite of yours means I and they are without class? I attempted to have a meaningful conversation about sportsmanship with you, but it is futile.

Remember, you came here and started bashing the site, shirts and the opinions. We didnt see you out, you looked for us. I dont go anywhere near pro-Favre sites because they are entitled to their belief and its not on me to tell them to stop. I will, however, shoot down any arguement here because this is a website who has the belief that Favre was wrong.

You are a Favre fan and not a Packer Fan, thats your right.

Hold that head high….you have one or two years left, then you will have to find another player, heck maybe he will be on the Packers and you can root for him and say you loved the Pack all along.

Skol, if Favre acted like he did in an attempt to play for the Lions or a Canadian Football team, I would feel the same way. This has nothing to do with his performance on the field or how he helps/hurts the Vikings. It has everything to do with how he lied, threw the team under the bus and made excuses all while his intentions were clear…..to play for the Vikings (thats the part you are forgetting and where Judas comes in). He didnt want to be a Packer anymore and made a mockery out of the process, therefore, I am no longer a fan of his. Never have I said I want him on our team, not anymore. At his age, he is built for a dome team. Cold weather games kill him. I no longer want that cake. Play for the Vikings, but do it like a man, dont make excuses and try to paint it any other way.

Both sides were at fault, but Favre went the extra step and pushed a lot of his fan base away. Come back after he is done with your team and have a discussion. Your only hope is that the Vikings win the Super Bowl and he retires quietly. If not, have a good off season and I hope he doesnt create a circus like you had this summer and are destined to have until he either wins the Super Bowl or retires for good……or not….or good…he will decide sometime. It grows old, dont deny that you were laughing each offseason as the Packers waited patiently for the good Lord Favre to decide his next step.

  • DJ

FAVRE WAS A PACKER, HE IS NO LONGER A PACKER. DID I JUST MAKE A STATEMENT? AND NO BARB, YOUR NOT CLASSY! AND I ALSO WILL BE HOLDING MY HEAD HIGH, WIN OR LOSE, BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT A PACKER DOES, NOT CUT AND RUN BECAUSE I DIDN’T GET MY WAY!

  • BARBARA

    NTC & DJ:
AGAIN, AND FOR THE LAST TIME (I WILL NOT CONTINUE THIS BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY MANY OF YOUR STATEMENTS SAID HERE, CAN I DIGNIFY WITH AN ANSWER). SO GOOD LUCK MONDAY, AND YOU STILL HAVE NO CLASS. AND JUST IN CASE YOU DIDN’T KNOW, CLASS NEVER RUNS SCARED. IT IS SURE-FOOTED AND CONFIDENT. YOU GUYS STILL DON’T GET IT (THE MEANING OF RESPECT THAT IS), AND WHAT WE’RE REALLY TRYING TO SAY HERE. IF YOU DO HAVE ANY CLASS, YOU WOULD WISH GOOD LUCK TO THE VIKINGS. CIAO AMIGOS.

  • Stevegoat

Why would anyone come on a Packer themed website and demand that someone wish the Vikings or their QB luck in a heated NFL rivalry game or season?

This has to be the most puzzling comment I have ever read.

Barbara was proved wrong, out-classed and now she exits stage left, flat-footed and scared, who is next?

  • DJ

    Amen Goat,
First it was class, now it’s respect, whats next, and no, I don’t wish the queens or Favre any kind of luck at all, I say hittem in the horns-hard, can you say snot bubbles.

  • Bill

Fighting on the internet is like the special olympics. Even if you win your still Retarded.

  • DJ

So Bill, you bought a shirt?
