Way to represent my home town of Campbellsport! Why is Brett Favre a “Judas”? You need to first take a look at who is still running the show up there in Green Bay…Thompson drove in the first nail and now some of the Wisconsin fans are stabbing him in the side. Brett has taken too many shots to the head! He NEEDS to retire and STAY retired! I believe it’s a “Look at me” kind of situation, and he just can’t walk away from all that “fan adulation” He’s going to end up getting “planted”, and I for one will be laughing at him then. Green Bay Packer fans have ALWAYS been known for their support and love of the team and the players. Why would you want to shame yourself and the city with such remarks as calling Brett a Judas? The players do what they feel is right for them and always will. The fans loved Brett and some still do. I do. But I love the Packers more. This is a winning situation for the fans since they will have some real exciting games to look forward to. I hope he does well (the Vikings really need that), but I’ll keep my eye on him and still root for the Packers. I admire the way he loves the game and makes it exciting to watch him. I am (was) a Packer fan since the 60’s. I still wish they would dump Ted so I could again give my heart tot he green and gold. Packers fans who turn on brett disgust me. He was forced out of GB and now has moved on. I hope he and the Vikings beat he living chit out of GB so they realize the idiot TT is and get rid of the bum. Favre a judas? I recognize that some will boo and some will cheer. It is each individual’s right, but I will boo, because of his antics the last 5 years. I would have considered cheering had it stopped with the Jets, but his “retiring” from the Jets was an orchestrated move simply to prove a stupid point….and to get back at the team I cheer for. He chose his path, which is his right, but he also chose to alienate a large segment of the Packer Fan base, me included.

You’re disrespectful and a very bad sportsman. Look, Brett was rejected by the organization when he “waffled” back in 08, but that doesn’t mean he deserved this. Brett is one of, if not THE greatest Packer to ever play the game. And that is also arguable through the whole NFL. In the end, fans may want the Packers to always beat MN, but we still should appreciate all that Brett was to our team for 16 seasons and who he was to our community.

Favre and his wife did great things for charity, no one has ever said they did not. He will always be considered one of the greatest Packers of all time, no one has argued that fact. Still no excuse for his D-Bag actions over the last 3-5 years.
